Commissions & prices

**Commissions for 2025 are currently CLOSED**

Hello, and welcome to my commission page. First of all, thank you for appreciating my work, my art.

How commissioning works

Let me describe you what the process of commissioning custom art is usually like:

1) You ask me for a painting, giving me a generic idea of what you would like: a scene, a simple portrait, and so on.
I might ask for more details, in order to understand and feel your idea.
I will also ask you if you intend to keep the painting for “personal use” (your desktop wallpaper, or hanging in your living room a printed version) or “commercial use” (for example, cover art for a book your’e going to publish and sell, image printed on t-shirts you’re selling at a local convention, and so on). I make digital paintings, which mean at the end of the entire process, you’ll receive a digital image in JPEG or PSD, not a physical copy.

2) Once we agree on Terms & timing, I require a 50% deposit upfront. After you’ve accepted the conditions and paid the deposit, I’ll get to work!

3)
I’ll send you a questionnaire about the character/scene, and ask you to provide reference pictures .

4) I’ll create up to two sketches with some rough color, based on your description and on a number of visual references you sent me (pictures, sketches, other illustrations).
At this point, you’re free to give me feedback such as “can you move this character in that position” or “can his arms be crossed instead?”

5) After you give me your feedback I’ll create an almost-finished version of the piece.
When I send you the preview you can give me small feedback such as “can you add this necklace” or “can we change the color of his hat?”

6) I will show you various work-in-progress drafts, to check on details and colors.
Changing full poses or position changes at this point would be out of scope – and if you’d really like to change something big, we’ll discuss pricing on that.

7) Once I’ve incorporated your final feedback, I’ll send you a final preview of the finished piece and the request for the second part of the payment. After I’ve received the payment, I send you the high-resolution file! File will be sent in JPEG or PNG format, depending on the kind of painting. Prints are not included but I can guide you to online printing services.

FULL RENDERED PAINTINGS

What does “Full render” means?

Full-color, realistic-like art, painted digitally. Here, attention is paid to the design of the scene, the quality of the painting and attention to details – to the detriment of the speed of creation. I take as long as I need (usually up to 2-3 weeks) to focus on the painting and create it to the best of my ability.

DIGITAL SKETCHES

Low on budget?

Then, you can consider the “Sketch” option: drawings with black lines and splashes of color. No much detailed or carefully rendered, sketchs convey the general idea of the subject. The speed of creation is advantaged at the expense of detail in the painting strokes.
