“Repressed anger”, 6th new dragon of 2024, created during the #dragonary challenge. Very old sketch (2003?), and in 2024 New Pencil sketch, digital redraw and painting.
Revisiting old sketches always offers a lot of satisfaction – satisfaction to that artist from the past who would have liked to “do more” but wasn’t capable. As with many other paintings, I don’t consider this one “finished” yet.

🐲 In the moonlight, a battle takes place. External enemies, internal enemies, sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference. A snake that whispers criticism, a furious (but small) warrior that seeks to win with brute force – and a dragon, born to protect.
