My artwork, “Nechtana the old druid”. This is a personal work, a portrait of my DnD character. Created while playing “The Wild Beyond the Witchlight” dnd5 adventure, which gives the players the chance to play the Fairy. Painted during March 2025.
I have had this character in my mind for a long time, with various attempts at painting it over the years, more or less successful. An old druid, solitary, friend of animals. An old goat, a white wolf. A solitary life in the mountains, an affinity for the invisible and fairy world, wisdom but little courtesy.
Creating this painting was like moving through a swamp – I have a really bad art block, but I really wanted to bring good old Nechtana to life. Somehow, I managed to do it, even if the result is not what I wanted.

A pencil sketch on A4 paper, turned detailed digital drawing, then colored in digital with a drawing app on my smartphone.
