“As a writer, I’m used to having scenes in my mind that I try to portray through words. And sometimes, words just aren’t enough–I want to get an actual scene done, something to look at that captures that moment visually and not just in words. A couple years back I commissioned Elena to do a scene from one of my fics after seeing her work in a group. Her work captured the spirit of the source material as well as the aesthetic, so I reached out.
